About Petro Tech 2019
- PETROTECH – 2019 is India’s flagship hydrocarbon conference.
- PETROTECH-2019, the 13th International Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition is being organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.
- The three-day mega event, will showcase the recent market and investor friendly developments in India’s oil and gas sector.
- Over 95 Energy Ministers from partner countries and 7000 delegates from around 70 countries are expected to be part of PETROTECH -2019.

About Akshaya Patra
- The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation. It strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools.
- Akshaya Patra also aims at countering malnutrition and supporting the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.
- In its 19-year journey, Akshaya Patra foundation has served mid-day meals to 1.76 million children in twelve states covering 14,702 schools.
- In 2016, Akshaya Patra commemorated the serving of 2 billion cumulative meals in the presence of the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
- The Foundation works closely with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and State Governments to serve quality, hygienic, and nutritious food to millions of children.
- Mid-Day Meal Scheme : is considered to be the largest of its kind programme in the world. The program aims to boost enrollment, attendance, and retention in schools and to improve the health profile of children in the age group of 6-14 years.
3 . E-Cocoon Mobile App
Context : Mobile App E-Cocoon was launched
About E – Cocoon
- Mobile application e-cocoon was launched for quality certification in silkworm seed sector
- The mobile app e-cocoon will help quality certification in silk worm sector.
- The mobile application will be used by the Seed Analysts and Seed Officers nominated under Central Seed Act for system and product certification through real time reporting.
